August 2010

I can't believe a year has gone by since I have posted anything on here. I need to get back into it. Just going back and seeing all the things we did and all the pictures makes me realize I need to keep up with this....

Summer is here....

July is one of my favorite months, partly because it is my birthday month. This year I celebrated my 31st birthday. Yes, I know I still look 21...but unfortunately time keeps going. :)

For my birthday my family took me out to dinner to King's Fish House. I do have to say it was my most favorite birthday dinner yet. We had so much fun talking, eating, drinking and laughing. My Dad even did a Saki Bomb...it was hilarious. Kimmie even went to the resturant early and set roses on the table for me...it was just a fabulous night!!

Fourth of July was spent between the Chavez's and the Mathews...lots of pool time and lots of fun!!

Justin in his crabby floaty.

Justin & his bud Wyatt. Blonde haired blue eyed boys...watch out ladies! Haha.

We had a great summer BBQ mid-July.

Justin having fun with Daddy & Tata in the pool.

I don't know who makes who happier? Nonno & Tata just love him!

A game the Tata & Nonno always play with Justin...picking the leaves and flowers off of the trees. As you can see he loves it.

Our local park had a concert in the park series that we went to. Justin loves being outdoors and loves music so it was a great night!

We went with the Radici family.
Here is Justin & Lyla enjoying the music...how cute is this picture?

Justin had his 3rd haircut appointment with Stephanie, but unfortunately it didn't go as planned.

Little did we know he was starting to get a fever which ended with a bad case of Roseola. This was his first time being really sick with a fever of 103. I cried when he broke out in the rash and felt like such a bad mother. But I now know there will be worse things to come.
July flew by!

June ~ 2009

What can I say about June? The beginning of the summer, a few birthdays and a mini vacation made for a wonderful month. It was a busy month. Weekends were packed full of fun. Yee's Cocktail Party, Vincenzo's b-day party and our first overnight trip with out Justin to Palm Desert.

Jana, Me, Moo & Shelly having a great time at the Yee's Cocktail Party. (Thanks to Uncle Pep & Aunt Kimmie for babysitting)

Let's not forget about Jeremy's first Father's Day. It was a great day. We had my both our families over for an early dinner. I made baked ziti and meatballs...with my own homemade sauce. Nonna would be proud!! What a bad Mommy I am, I didn't even get a picture of Jeremy & Justin on his first Father's Day :(

Justin giving Tata a Father's Day kiss!

Usually it's Justin with the smile & Nonno with the serious face...not anymore...Nonno is a softy now :)

Jeremy and I headed out to Palm Desert with our neighbor friends for our first overnight with out Justin. It was a great time! The boys golfed and us girls got massages and hung out by the pool. Then we all went to a great Teppan dinner. Thanks to Me'Me' & Nonno for babysitting Justin overnight. They had a great time with him...as always.

Lights, Camera, Action!!

A few funny videos of Justin...

He just cracks us up!

Justin showing us how he honks his horn.

Daddy having some balloon fun with Justin.

Nonno pulling Justin around.

May 23, 2008

Justin was baptized at St. Mel's Catholic Church in Norco. It was a beautiful day. All of our family and friends were there to witness the blessed occasion. Well, not all..since my East Coast family wasn't able to make it.

Justin's God Parents are Rich Chavez and Annamaria Garufi.

Rich is Jeremy's older brother. Some of you might have met him at our wedding. He is quite the comedian. When Justin was born he told us he wanted to be a Mexican and Italian Uncle...so we call him TioZio.

Most of you all know Annamaria (Moo)...her and her family have been in our lives for over 30 years. Moo is a great best friend. She also watches Justin on occasion. He always smiles when Aunt Moo is around.
We are very lucky to have so many people who love Justin.

After the baptism we all headed up to Nonno & Me'Me's house for a fun party!

Justin is going to be a pro by the time it comes to his first birthday...he knows exactly what to do when he see's cake...haha.

Justin Scott ~ October 08' - May 09'

Justin came into our lives on October 6, 2008.

He has celebrated many holidays already. Here is just a look back at the ones that have past.

Halloween 08' ~ Justin was only 3 weeks old and we took him to a pumpkin patch.

Thanksgiving 08' ~ We celebrated Thanksgiving at Nonno & Me'Me's house.
Tata & Nana (Jeremy's parents) also joined us.

Christmas 09' ~ Before we knew it Christmas had arrived. Tradition followed and we had Christmas Eve at our house. It was a great party, although Justin was not in the mood to party and went to bed very early that night. Christmas Day was spent at Nonno & Me'Me's house and Justin was of course spoiled by everyone. His Tata & Nana joined us at the Coco's house and nothing could have made the day better. Anthony was home from the Army, Pep & his new fiance' Kimberlee were in lala land from the announcement of their engagement and Justin was the gleam in every ones eye!

The New Year came and went and Justin slept right through it. Lucky Mommy & Daddy had some adult time with the neighbors. It was a great night!

Valentines 09' ~ Our neighbors, the Radici's, had a little Valentine's Party for the kids on our block. It was so cute. Justin received his first Valentine.

St. Patrick's Day 09' ~ Ok, so we aren't Irish...but it was just another reason to dress him up in a cute outfit!

Easter 09' ~ We spent Easter at our house with both of our families. Even Tio Rich & Auntie Dawn and the girls were over. The kids enjoyed an Easter egg hunt and so did the adults. Justin was spoiled as usual.
Thanks to Auntie Jo-Ann & Uncle Mike for the wonderful Easter goodies they sent Justin...here he is in the bib they sent him.

Mother's Day 09' ~ My very first Mother's Day. It was a beautiful day. We had brunch at Trilogy Golf Club. The whole family was there. After that I got to use the gift certificate Justin had given me for Mother's Day and went and got a manicure & pedicure with Kasey & Patty. A very relaxing day it was!!

This Mother's Day was also a day to show my Mom how much I appreciate her. For those of you that don't know, my Mom has been Justin's full-time baby sitter since I went back to work. She is absolutely amazing! Most days she watches him at our house and sometimes he goes up to her house. My Mom has helped us out more than I could even imagine to try to explain. She makes dinner, does laundry and just helps me in anyway she can. Jeremy & I always say we don't know what we would do with out her. I am very blessed to have her be able to spend so much time with Justin. He LOVES his Me'Me'!!

Those are the holidays that have past. We have truly enjoyed all of them as a family. There will be many more happy memories to come.

Reminising...

I will try to go back a few months & remember all the fun things we have been doing. After this I will be updating at the end of each month with pictures and little tid bits of information about the Thunderburks!
